Hypnotherapy can very well be your be-all and end-all solution, especially when all else has failed!

It’s a fact that hypnosis has been around for centuries and has been proven to treat numerous nagging problems. Hypnosis was officially approved by the American Medical Association in 1961 as an approved medical modality.

We enter in and out of hypnosis every day, several times a day. If you’ve ever lost yourself in a good movie, or daydreamed, or missed an exit on the highway because your mind was wandering, you were in a hypnotic trance.

We subconsciously hypnotize ourselves to believe and do all kinds of things through the affirmations we repeat out loud and to ourselves. So if you continually tell yourself I have no willpower, I can’t lose weight, I can’t quit smoking, I’m so fat, I’m so stressed…you are programming yourself negatively.

I use hypnosis, Neuro-linguistic programming, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to reprogram the subconscious mind with positive suggestions and to change the old negative beliefs.

If you tried to quit smoking on your own you’ve probably tried over the counter and prescription nicotine replacement medications like the nicotine gum, the nicotine patch, Chantix…You may have tried to replace the habit with vaping only to find yourself just as addicted that!

Cigarettes are responsible for 480,000 deaths per year in the United States according to the CDC.

So how does hypnosis differ?  What I do as a hypnotist is work with my clients to change their thought process and take away the emotional connection to smoking by accessing their subconscious mind.

Overeating and Weight Loss

Hypnosis can help you lose the weight you want to lose, help you reach your weight goals, motivate you to like and want to exercise more and stimulate you to make healthier food choices.  Many people hypnotized for weight loss report that they just weren’t as hungry all the time, they didn’t crave the old unhealthy foods they used to eat, and got full faster so they didn’t overeat. It can even speed up your metabolism! Your mind is more powerful than you realize. I also educate my clients on proper nutrition and natural supplements.

According to the CDC : “About 70 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep problems. Lack of sleep is associated with injuries, chronic diseases, mental illnesses, poor quality of life and well-being, increased health care costs, and lost work productivity.”

So many people rely on medications to get them to sleep at night only to wake up feeling groggy and out of sorts and even addicted to the medications.

The actual fear of insomnia is actually what causes it. Sleep is mostly managed by the subconscious. The anxiety of not being able to sleep is what keeps you awake. Hypnosis can relieve the anxiety and fear of not getting a good night’s sleep so you can actually get to sleep.

Ease Chronic Pain

The National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI) published an article which reviewed controlled trials of hypnosis for the treatment of chronic pain; pain lasting longer than 6 weeks. The studies they did were based on hypnosis as a treatment vs other non-hypnotic treatments such as physical therapy… The findings indicated that hypnosis consistently showed significant decreases in chronic pain.


Relieve Anxiety and Stress

Both stress and anxiety are typically caused by an emotional trigger. Stress tends to be triggered by short and long term triggers like a work deadline or a chronic illness and may come and go. According to, “Forty-three percent of all adults suffer adverse health effects from stress. Seventy-five percent to 90% of all doctor’s office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints.”  Anxiety on the other hand is persistent with excessive worrying that doesn’t go away even in the absence of the stressor and can cause mental and physical symptoms such as insomnia, fatigue, irritability, anger, aches and pains as well as more serious health issues.  Both stress and anxiety can be cured through hypnosis techniques.
